Creating a Newforma ID
1. Go to https://my.newforma.com/.
2. Click on Create your Newforma ID in sign-in section of the page.
3. Enter your H2M email address, First and Last name, check the option “I agree to the Terms & Conditions” and click the Sign Up for free button.
4. You will receive an email confirmation, click on the link in the email to create a password and to log in. ***Password must be at least 14 characters***.
5. In the “Search for a company” section, enter H2M in the search bar and click H2M architects + engineers.
6. Enter your H2M login information into the Info Exchange login window

Setting up Newforma Mobile Apps
1. Download the Newforma Capture (iPhone or iPad) app and the Newforma Plans (iPad only) app from the app store.
2. Open the Capture app and/ or the Plans app, enter your Newforma username and password (this is your 14+ character password) and select Sign In.
3. If prompted, enter your H2M password (i.e. password you log into computer with) in the popup screen that appears.

Using the Plans App
1. Once you are logged in, select the project that you are working in.
2. Filtering by Document Package:
a. Click on Display All Package, then select applicable package to view all documents within that package.
3. Downloading Files (must be connected to Wi-Fi):
a. Individual Download – tap on the down arrow next to the applicable files that you want to download.
b. Download All – tap on the Download All button.

c. Select either Quick Download or Download & Render Now (will download and render them for thumbnails)
4. Adding Files to Favorites:
a. Select the file that you want to add as a favorite in the left pane.
b. In the preview pane on the right, tap on Add to Favorites.
c. To view only your favorites, tap on Display All and toggle the Favorites button to on.

5. Viewing Downloaded Files:
a. Tap on Downloaded in the bottom left pane.
6. Removing Downloaded Files:
a. View all downloaded files.
b. Tap on Edit in the top of the pane.
c. Select the files that you want to remove and tap on Remove.

Using the Capture App
1. Once you are logged in, hit the + in the upper right to create a field note.
2. Tap on Type Select a Project, select the applicable project and then click on Field Note.
***Note: if you’ve already used the app, the screen shown in step 3 will appear upon opening the app.***

3. Tap on subject to enter the location for the photo to be taken. Tap on description to enter the description of the photo to be taken.
4. Click on either the Camera icon in the bottom right to take a picture, or the Photo icon in the bottom center to upload a picture from your photo album. (Note: It is preferred that photos be taken horizontally when possible.)
5. After adding your photo to the field note, you can click on the photo to maximize it and use the toolbar at the top of the screen to annotate the photo, if desired.
6. Click on Save when the field note is complete.
7. Uploading Field Notes to Newforma:
a. Make sure that you are connected to Wi-Fi.
b. From the home screen, you can click on the up arrow next to the field note to upload individually or you can click on Upload All in the bottom right of the screen.

Creating a Daily Report
1. Open the Newforma application on your computer and go to the home page of the applicable project.
2. Click on Daily Reports under the Field Management section.
3. Start Report Creation:
a. Create Daily Report from scratch:
Click Create Daily Report in the Tasks pane on the left side of the window.
b. Create Daily Report based on existing Report:
Select the existing report from the Daily Reports listing. (Use dropdown at the top to show applicable report listing).
Click Create Similar Daily Report in the Tasks pane on the left side of the window (or right mouse click).
From the Create Daily Report window, select all the field notes in the Observations tab, and delete them.

4. From the Create Daily Report window, click on Add from Field Notes in the Observations tab.
5. Click the funnel in the Created or Author field to filter your search. When selecting multiple field notes, hold the control key on your keyboard to select multiple notes. Click OK to add to report.
6. Add any relevant information in the various tabs (i.e. Description, Weather, Subcontractors, Equipment, etc.).
7. Click on the dropdown next to Form Template and choose the appropriate template (if you want to change from default).

8. Click the Next Action checkbox and select View Form from the pull down to view the report draft, click on OK to view.
9. If you are satisfied with how the Daily Report looks, click the Next Action checkbox and select Finalize and Send from the pulldown, click on OK.
10. The preview window will update and show the Daily Report without the “Draft” watermark, click OK again to send.
11. Send Report Options:
a. Outlook:
If you would like to send the report via Outlook, select Email as attachment from the pulldown, and select the “No, just transfer the files” radio button. Click on OK.
From the Select Files to Send window, confirm that your daily report is checked, then click on OK.

Outlook will open will the report attached, update the email as needed and send.
b. Info Exchange File Transfer:
If you’d like to send the report via a File Transfer, select Info Exchange with options and No, just transfer the files. Select OK.
From the Select Files to Send window, confirm that your daily report is checked, then click on OK.

Add the recipients and description and select Transfer
c. Info Exchange Project Transmittal
If you would like to send the report via a Newforma Project Transmittal, select Info Exchange with Options and check the box that says Yes, fill out a Project Transmittal.

Enter the recipient(s) and any remarks you wish to make. Select Create and Transfer.
